H2O2
Hydrogen Peroxide H2O2 Health Therapy
Functions of H2O2
in the Body
All higher life-forms purposefully form H2O2
in the body- peroxisomes in the cell do this by combining water with oxygen.
H2O2
has many functions:
H2O2
is
instrumental in immune system function:
H2O2 is released by immune system T-cells.
To destroy invading bacteria, viruses and
fungi.
H2O2generated by activated phagocytes at inflammation sites.
Appears to modulate the inflammatory process
(e.g. by up-regulating expression of adhesion molecules, controlling cell
proliferation or apoptosis {cell death without releasing harmful substances} and
modulating platelet aggregation).
H2O2stimulates the production of interferon
H2O2 is produced byvitamin C -
helping fight infections by stimulating
prostaglandin production.
H2O2significantly increasesoxygenlevels in the blood - increasing
cellular energy production
H2O2is
released by blood platelets on encountering particulates in blood.
Mother's milk contains a good amount of H2O2,
and a mother's first milk(colostrum) contains even more
- which provides a
defense against infection until the baby's own immune system develops and is
able to produce its own H2O2.
H2O2is
produced by lactobacillus found in the colon and vagina- to destroy harmful candida, bacteria and viruses, preventing colon
disease, vaginitis, bladder infections and a host of other common ailments.
H2O2is
required for the production of thyroid hormone and sexual hormones.
H2O2
is
used as an inter- and intra-cellular signaling molecule.
H2O2clears out artery plaque and dilates blood vessels in the heart and brain.
H2O2regulates thermogenesis (heat production) - may be as vital as thyroid function.
H2O2aids
membrane transport.
H2O2is able to easily cross the cell
membrane- because of its
neutral charge.
