The mother passes on her immunity to
her baby by breast feeding, but How?
Research has found
that a mother, with all her protective antibodies (anti-germs), passes her
immunity on to her breast-fed baby. Conversely, a non breast-fed baby has no
antibodies until the baby makes its own, relying on being in a sterile
environment for the first month of life.

anything as large as a cell, scientists determined that the factor was not a
cell or a germ, but was probably a molecule, but too small to see with a
microscope. It was named the "Transfer
Factor"-something that somehow transferred the mother's immunity to her baby
almost overnight not passed to the baby.
Finally, the truth was realized. . .
Colostrum, the mother's FIRST milk, and not regular
breast milk was the only milk that contained the immunity transfer factor - but thepuzzle still remained -how could colostrum transfer immunity to the baby
without actually transferring the antibodies themselves? Dozens of studies
showed that human colostrum transferred immunity not only to babies, but also to
adults. Also it was discovered that cow's colostrum (and pig's) could also pass
on their immunity to humans.

The fat and
sugar (lactose) was removed to leave the whey. The living cells (e.g. immune
cells) and large particles were removed, and the transfer factor still remained.
The remaining fresh or dried
whey conveys immunity, but takes about 50 times as much to be equivalent to the
specially extracted colostrum mentioned below
