- Replace electrolytes (potassium, sodium, chloride, bicarbonate). Especially helpful are salty soups for sodium, and bananas (or other
fruits/veggies) or tomato juice to replace potassium.
Home remedy:
Mix and drink 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 cup orange juice, 2 tbsp.
sugar and 1 liter of water). Also eat a banana or some watermelon for additional
potassium.
